Our journey began back in 2016 with Studio MOGER—a passion project we nurtured during evenings and weekends while building our careers.

Robert worked as a design engineer, specialising in building and iterating complex prototypes for demanding fields like sub-sea, medical, and offshore. Meanwhile, Carolyn was completing her PhD in Fine Art, exploring our emotional attachments to objects based on their materiality and the stories we're told about them.

We both found ourselves in increasingly technical fields and had less time doing what we loved, getting our hands dirty in the workshop.

Now, in 2025, we've taken the leap! Welcome to Studio Seada. We've built our own creative nest and are in the workshop almost every single day, doing what we love most: making things.

Our partnership uniquely blends Robert's rigorous, functional engineering with Carolyn's deep understanding of emotional connection and materiality, allowing us to create objects and processes that are beautifully made and have a wee bit of soul.
